Cannes 2017 Directors’ Fortnight Lineup Announced!

This morning, the selection of the 49th edition of the Cannes Directors’ Fortnight has just been announced by its director, Edouard Waintrop in a no less than 40-minute presentation made on Thursday. The entries were much lauded in spite of the section being non-competitive. However, members of the  Société des Réalisateurs Français which is charge of organizing the event, do dole out some praises. Included among the many entries is The Florida Project by Tangerine‘s Sean Baker.

The 70th Cannes Film Festival will be held from May 17-18. Here’s hoping that we see  these entries in a cinema near us soon.
